Cooperation WK Sport Horses

Riikka is also a partner in WK-Sporthorses Oy, whose aim is to breed future sporthorses to the toplevel. Foals will born and grown up in Stall Björkkärr ranch. Sporthorses which compete in top level are health and they have good rideability, scope and elasticity. That is why we have chosen our mares to come from proven sporthorses. In our mares breed, you can find horses who have already proved their ability in top level.

Our interest to horses has began in very young age. WK-team´s Riikka Kvarnström and Mona Wendelin have both found their career from horses, what is good for breeding.

Mona, who is known as FEI-veterinarian in competitions, has been veterinarian in area of Uusimaa for 20 years already. Riikka and her husband Tom Kvarnström have been responsible of Björkkärr – ranch over 20 years. Because of passion to horse breeding, it was natural to do it together.

That was the beginning of WK Sporthorses story.
